Baghpat: Khekra town is known for its famous yellow barfi, also known as Kesar Pak Barfi. People come from far and wide to taste this unique sweet, and the shop is crowded with customers from morning to evening. This barfi is made by boiling milk and adding khoya to it, a mixture of saffron and dry fruits, which makes its taste unique.
Pammi Sweets is located in the main market of Khekra town of Baghpat. Yogesh Singhal, the operator of the shop, started making this barfi 4 years ago. His aim was to make something different and special sweet, which resulted in the birth of Kesar Pak Barfi.
How to make Barfi
Use of milk: Every day around 1 quintal of milk is collected from the nearby farmers.
Making Khoya: Mawa is prepared by boiling this milk.
Saffron mixture: Saffron is mixed in mawa and it is cooked on low flame.
Dry Fruits: After this, plenty of dry fruits are added to it.
Powder: Finally, Gola powder is added to it, which further enhances the taste of barfi.
what is the price
Initially, the price of this barfi was ₹300 per kg, which has now become ₹360 per kg. Yogesh Singhal says that he never compromised on quality and quantity, due to which this barfi has become famous in many states including Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan. People order it at their homes and come to the shop to enjoy it. More than 40 kg of barfi is sold in a day.
